Yesterday was my first day "being healthy" and today when I stepped on the scale, I was over 2 lbs lighter....WHAT??? Can it really be this easy? I know I know, most of the weight I lose in teh first few weeks will be water weight, but seriously....pounds are pounds and I can't wait!!
Today was good--it's easy not to cheat when the house is filled with good food and not junk! Don't get me wrong though, our house is never filled with Doritos or ice cream, we hardly have those things in our house, but instead of snacking on 100 calorie snacks (which I know just turn into fat becuse they are full of sugar), I snacked on some laughing cow cheese and a granola bar today on the run.
I did learn today that One-A-Day Vitamins are not for me. After a full breakfast I took one and about 30 minute later....VOMIT!!! Gross, I was sick to my stomach and barely made it to the "thrown!". YUCKO! After a comment on Facebook, I got about 30 good pieces of advice and am going to try Gummy Flintstones (2xdaily).
The Biggest Loser stars tonight (YAY!) I love TBL....it's so motivating! Not only to see regular people change, but also to know that I NEVER want to be on that show!
I worked out today--I did cardio yesterday with Jillan and did strength today with U-Verse's help (love free On-Demand). I only worked out (seriously, I wasn't feeling it at all) just so I could watch TBL and not feel guilty! Ha....you think I'm joking!

Day #1
My plan is not to eat only carrots and exercise 3 hours a day, that is not realistic and not me!
But I do plan on:
--Eating a big breakfast (not just granola bar or reduced fat cheez-it's that I'vevfallen victim too...)
--Eating a protein and veggie filled lunch and dinner
--Having 2 small snacks in the day
--1/2 my body weight of water a day! (this will take some time to get use to!)
--Some form of exercise EVERY DAY--regardless of what or when, just do it! Just Move!
--No eating after 7 pm (or 3 hours before bedtime dependng on my schedule)
Lastnight, I planned the menu for the week (all 3 meals and snacks for 6 days) and made a grocery list...2 hours later, I was ready for the grocery store. This morning I matched up my coupons and headed to Wally World....an hour later of shopping (it took a little longer look for things I wasn't familiar with....) I was on my way home.
Today went like this:
Tuna salad on a white bagel (hey, I had to work with what I had)
Pretzels as a snack
Then, I went to the grocery store --
Light cheese and some peanut butter as a snack and then for dinner:
Steak salad (from allyou.com)

It's A New Year!!
Hello World!
I'm back--well, I never really left, just quit blogging! However, instead of blogging about odds and ends, I'm going to blog about lifestyle changes Gabe and I are making this year.
I don't plan on doing a yo-yo diet this time--it's going to be changing years of bad habits and it will take time!
Just a few plans I will be followng for good advice--
Dr. Oz, I know...he's corny---however I have fallen in love with his show. Some of the stuff on there is unrealistic, but a lot of it has hit me like a ton of bricks--I need to change my habits! His motto this year is turn that 0 in 2010 to a skinny one in 2011...that's what I plan to do.
All You Magazine-- similar plans to Dr. Oz, it's an 11 week challenge that gives you new advice each week, because changes take time.
Organization---I'd like to think that I'm pretty organized, however I want to become even more organized.....
So, let the New Year begin!!!!
